Kaikhali SAMADHAN Samity
Kaikhali Samadhan Samityis a non-profit making charitable society (NGO). The society came into effect on 17th October in the year 2005. On June 5, a bevy of young people gathered in a social function and came forward to awaken The Kaikhali Samadhan Samityis about their civil rights and assist them to find out and recognize, and to develop their potentialities which were underlying due lack of opportunities. They tried to sensitize and take care of the people where the government failed to reach and almost abandoned by the society, through skill formation, upskilling the intellects, knowledge sharing, and guide them to generate economic benefits to sustain a healthy life for themselves and for their next generation in the targeted rural areas, inspired by few elderly people who decided to work towards the social causes of the society. In this way the journey on the path to work for the disadvantaged people began under an umbrella which they named Kaikhali Samadhan Samity, which implies support to the needy.
However, in this process the members felt in order to put in organised effort and to pull in resources there is a need for recognition by the Government. Therefore the organization got registered under the societies Westbengal Act XXI of 1860 from Kaikhali on the 17th day of October 2005 and under Public Trust Act XXXXXXXXX of YY from Thane on the DD th day of March YY. It also got registered under the Foreign Contribution Regulation Act (FCRA) in 2012. The main motto of the society is to provide quality facilities, be it in the field of education, health or occupation. And currently the work of the society encompasses a board spectrum: from care and welfare to development, issues related to women and children, literacy, health, water and sanitation, food security, livelihood, disasters, governance etc. which are the focal points of intervention made by the society.
We the members strive to establish a just and equitable society minimizing the age old discrimination custom. Young minds are our greatest assets and education is a prime weapon to incorporate for creating a wonderful future. Every individual must have access to quality education, proper health care facilities and a minimum job opportunities to support life system. We are rooted to holistic development approach and attend our responsibilities with empathy. And we believe to achieve our goals one day and create a world that we have dreamt about, where people will care for each other.
